     About Beaver's

Age Range

Beavers normally aged between 6 and 8 are the youngest section of our Scout family. We meet usually once a week in a Beaver Scout Colony. We are easily recognised In our distinctive turquoise sweatshirts.

What we Do

We enjoy having fun, making new friends, playing games, going on visits and helping others. We start to learn about Scouting based on a balanced programme with the emphasis on ensuring we all experience a quality programme covering a wide range of subjects.

Programme

Our programme is divided into a number of ‘zones’, 'methods' and 'ways of working'.

Zones

Each zone represents a different development area.

There are six programme zones in Beaver Scouting:

  • Beliefs and Attitudes
  • Community
  • Fitness
  • Creative
  • Global
  • Outdoor and Adventure

The Beaver Scout Promise is:

I promise to do my best
To be kind and helpful
And to love God.

The Beaver Scout Motto is:

Be Prepared.
